Eco-Friendly Hot Tub Disposal & Recycling

Once a hot tub is out of your yard, what happens next matters. We separate recyclable metal frames, motors, and pumps, and route wood cabinetry and packaging to the appropriate recycling or disposal facility in Kern County instead of defaulting everything to the landfill.

Where the materials actually go

Metal parts — frame, jets, pump housings, and heater elements — are pulled out and sent to scrap recyclers. Wood cabinetry is dropped at facilities that accept it for recycling when available. What's left, mainly the acrylic or fiberglass shell, is disposed of at a licensed facility.

Why this matters for a bulky item like a hot tub

A single hot tub can otherwise send several hundred pounds of metal and wood straight to a landfill. Separating those materials out is a small extra step for us but a meaningfully lower-impact outcome than an all-in-one dump run.

Questions

Disposal & Recycling FAQs

Can you donate my old hot tub instead of removing it?+

If it's still functional and you'd rather donate or rehome it, tell us before your appointment. If it's a fit for a local buyer or charity, we'll help coordinate; otherwise we'll proceed with standard removal and recycling.

Do you provide proof of recycling or disposal?+

Let us know if you need documentation for an HOA, property sale, or personal records, and we'll provide a summary of how your unit was processed.
